Getting around. Parking in the old part of Gdansk is severely restricted and public transport is recommended. Public transport is safe, efficient and cheap and connects the tri city (Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot) almost 24 hours a day. Driving directions.From Gdansk Airport, follow signs to Gdansk. Pass the central railway station. Head for the road to Warsaw. Take the overpass to Podwale Przedmjeskie (signposted Warsaw). Ignore the second overpass. U turn under the second overpass. Turn left into Dlugie Ogrody Street. After 500 metres, turn left into Lakowa Street.
